Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Without key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Seize the Moment

This occasion provided a platform for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
